Waldorf B Institute

Blair Waldorf is probably my favorite character from the Gossip Girl series. I like her fresh Preppy look, her choices for handbags and shoes, not to mention men. *drool on Chuck Bass* . Its amazing how she can pull off an oversize bow headband (and set the worldwide trend for hair accessories) without looking childish. Diya loves wearing dresses that are very feminine in style and the bow detailing on this dress keeps it young, when paired with houndstooth pattern fabric. I love the neckline of this dress and the pearl-bead necklace that sits at the perfect length. We decided to pair the outfit with a butterfly sequined bag (which I got for only 3quids!) for the finishing touch to the look. And guess what she got in her bag? Purple Fruit Shoot of course!

Casual Saturday

Cardiff was blessed with sunshine on Saturday. It was our weekly grocery shopping day and we decided to keep it simple and casual, hence the title of this look. It was nice not having to wear winter coat out, especially when you had constantly worn them for the past few months! I love the colour of this Gap jumper as it reminds me of Spring that never has yet to come. Actually, I like all things green from Gap because the colour is so vibrant and unique and does not fade in wash. The skirt was a gift from Diya's grandparents from Malaysia and needless to say it is her favorite skirt of all. It is actually a knee length skirt but has now become a mini - that's how old this skirt is! We both love vintage pieces- it adds a personal touch to the look and  some colours do get better when they age.

Scooter ride

This look is about juxtapositions and paradoxes. Diya and I love playing with different fabrics, structures and  shapes - we believe that not everything should be mathcy-matchy. Here we paired a boyfriend blazer over a feminine floral skirt to keep the style contradicting yet complementing. We both love this unstructured t-shirt - the shape has a fun wide cut bottom but unfortunately is not  visible here in the pictures. Best thing is, the shirt was only 3quids (yes, I am cheap that way :p). Don't mind the mess in my back yard, no one bothers to clean during winter time and this is what happens!

pink attitude!

We were passing by this lovely coloured wall at St Davids 2 and I just couldn't resist for a photo op. Diya was not that enthusiastic to take pictures at the time because she was too equipped with the free coloring book and crayons she just got from John Lewis cafe. Who could blame her? Her outfit is very simple, just a sleeveless dress with two oversized pockets detailings - fashionable yet practical as she can keep all her crayons in them LOL. I like the patterned warm tights she is wearing here which I purchased very long time ago, back when she couldnt even fit into them. It turned out to be a good investment especially during the recent winter when she got to wear them for quite awful lot of time. In the last picture you could see my other girl Icha (albeit only her back) and her lovely curls, that I couldnt bring myself to crop out from the picture. I love the contrast colour of vibrant pink background over Diya's pale grey dress as it brings out the small detailings like the buttons and the fabric of the dress. But I love most is the pleats on the waist as it adds structure yet seen so effortless. :)
